Malindo Air's Inaugural Flight to Kota Kinabalu ~ 22 March

Malindo Air's maiden flight took off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Kota Kinabalu at 6:50AM on 22nd March, 2013. The passenger load was at over 70% on that flight.

Malindo Air's CEO Chandran Ramamuthy announces that the airline would fly to 12 destinations this year, setting its eye on India, China and Indonesia.

At the moment there will be three flights daily for route between Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu with fares starting from MYR 68 all-inclusive.

Apart from Kota Kinabalu, Malindo Air is also providing flights between Kuala Lumpur and Kuching with all-inclusive fare starting from MYR 38. There will be four flights daily for the KL-Kuching route.

Its now flying with two aircraft, both being the BOEING 737-900ER aeroplanes. Its the first airline in Malaysia to operate the planes.
