Malindo Air Gets Air Operators Certificate

Malindo Air will start operating very soon!

It is reported by MalayMail and The Star that Malindo Air has received an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from Malaysia's Department of Civil Aviation (DCA)  that allows it to perform commercial air operations in the country.

Malindo Air is on target to start flying in March. This certificate is important, as it is compulsary for an airline to receive AOC prior to starting services.

Malindo Air will be the first airline to operate the brand new B737-900ER (Extended Range) in Malaysia, which is the higher-capacity, longer-range derivative of the 737-900, capable of carrying up to 180 passenger and is certified for up to 220 passengers in a one-class layout.
